SUMMARY
Provide technical assistance and vehicle repair, vehicle warranty repair, fielding support, training, any ILS shop activity required during government validation, provide and understand all product information on all Oshkosh vehicles at Oshkosh, in the field, in the U.S. and the International Communicate with customers, dealers, and fellow employees. Provide Support to ILS personnel, sub-contractor’s on all vehicle and component validation / verification. Assist to expedite service and parts to the customer's satisfaction. Travel throughout the U.S. and abroad.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for Oshkosh vehicles, tools, equipment and rental vehicles.
2. Provide support to, sub-contractors, military and commercial customers, according to company policy.
3. Deliver, train and inspect new vehicles on-site, and at Customers location as required.
4. Diagnose, repair problems and provide failure analysis. Prepare either a written report, or a completed work order on every activity.
5. Communicate courtesy to customers, sub-contractors, employees, and everyone.
6. Instruct operators and customers with the correct operation and maintenance schedules.
7. Assist Service, ILS, Warranty, and Parts individuals on technical questions on vehicles, components and systems requirements.
8. Prepare general paperwork, service reports, warranty claims, and expense reports according to OTC guidelines.
9. Knowledge and further education as required on current/new systems, components and product lines.
10. Travel in the region, and to other regions to perform support as required. Depending on customer requirements travel could be greater than 50 percent of the work time.
11. Other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years related experience in the field service and technical areas to include ILS, field service, and or vehicle testing.
High school diploma or equivalent.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Associates degree in vehicle service repair.
• The ability to communicate effectively and deal diplomatically with customers, dealers and employees is a high requirement.
• Prior military experience
