HVAC Sales Account Executive
This position is responsible for selling Performance Contracting and other technical solutions provided Johnson Controls Building Efficiency Group to Federal Government Installations (Army, Navy, Air Force, GSA, Bureau of Prisons, NASA and other federal civilian agencies) located in the Southeast Region. Energy Savings Performance Contracting (PC) is the primary market focus. The Performance Contracting concept identifies energy and energy related opportunities to produce operating cost savings for the client to use to improve facility infrastructure. These savings provide solutions for operational, energy and building improvement projects that are financed and paid through savings derived from the program. These projects often involve improvements to Lighting, Controls, and Mechanical, Water, Central Plants, Security systems and opportunities for renewable technologies such as Biomass, Solar, Wind and Geothermal.
Seeking qualified individuals with successful track record selling complex multimillion dollar projects in the HVAC, energy, and facilities management, environmental, utility, facility engineering or related industries. Position requires 3-5 years technical sales, account management, business development or marketing experience, four year technical or business degree. Previous experience and track record with Performance Contracting, utilities industry or other Government Contracting programs is a plus.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related discipline required. MBA preferred. A minimum of five to seven years of progressive field sales experience at the C-level. Excellent initiative, and interpersonal communications skills. Demonstrated ability to influence the market at key levels. Must be able to travel up to 60%. This position is located in the Southern California Area.
