The Logistics and Engineering Solutions Business Unit (LESBU) provides professional technical services and solutions in the core business areas of logistics services, logistics information technology, systems/sustaining engineering, product support, equipment fielding/sustainment, supply chain management, training, technical data management, asset visibility and transportation engineering and consulting. This position can be worked from either Northern, VA or Albany, GA.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Marine Corps Logistics Account Manager (LAM)/Program Director position will be responsible for the prosecution and execution of logistics programs. This individual will provide critical support, including strategic planning, roadmap development, account management, proposal development and support, management of contract vehicles, task order management, customer relationship management and overall program management for Marine Corps Logistics Command (LOGCOM) and LOGCOM-related activities. The individual will support and market the full capabilities of SAIC throughout the LOGCOM customer base and other related Marine Corps logistics customers, and be the principal source of information on LOGCOM and Marine Logistics throughout SAIC. The individual will work to support LOGCOM initiatives supporting Fleet Marine Force Readiness, Acquisition Program Managers at MARCORSYSCOM and other logistics policy directed by Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong Marine Corps logistics background with a breadth and depth of knowledge encompassing each of the aforementioned areas across the Marine Corps logistic life cycle from acquisition to sustainment.
Candidates must possess strong fundamental knowledge of DOD logistics, lean six sigma, operations planning, supply chain collaboration, maintenance management, and operational sustainment activities.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Masters degree preferred; 15 years of logistics experience, with 10 or more years in management roles and 5 or more years at the executive level as part of the organization’s strategic leadership.
10+ years of leadership/management experience in the following disciplines:
• Marine Corps Policy Development
• Expeditionary Logistics
• Logistics, distribution and transportation.
• Supply chain integration and transportation policy.
• Life Cycle Equipment Sustainment
• Maintenance Management
• Theory of Constraints, Lean and Six Sigma
• Defense and Commercial Supply Chain, including sourcing/procurement/purchasing.
DESIRED SKILLS: HQMC, MARCORSYSCOM, MARCORLOGCOM, DLA, TRANSCOM, Joint Staff, or OSD staff levels, Marine Corps Ground and Aviation experience as an active duty military or federal civilian employee, Marine Logistics command experience, DAWIA/DAU certification, experience managing $100M+ programs.
Active Secret Security Clearance required.
