This position supports the Marine Corps Warfighting Lab’s Joint Concept Development and Experimentation (JCDE) Division at USJFCOM. The work entails representing the Marine Corps position on USJFCOM sponsored JCDE activities. In representing Marine Corps equities the Warfighting Analyst will be guided by CJCSM 3170.01 Series “Operation of the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System,” CJSCI 3137.01 Series “The Functional Capabilities Board Process,” CJCSI 3010.02 Series “Joint Future Concepts Process,” the Joint Concept Development and Experimentation Campaign Plan (JCD&E CPLAN), FY 2006-2013, and MCO 3900.15B Expeditionary Force Development System. The Warfighting Analyst will actively participate in the writing, review, and/or assessment of joint and Service concepts. Joint and Service concepts span the following functional areas: Force Application, Battlespace Awareness, Joint Command and Control, Focused Logistics, Force Protection, Net-Centric, Force Support, Building Partnerships, and Corporate Management and Support. Supporting concept development activities will include workshops, seminars, wargames, conferences, DOTMLPF writing groups and lessons-learned teams. Supporting for USJFCOM-sponsored joint lesson learned activities include initial collection and analysis tasks, and subsequent DOTMLPF development initiatives.
Qualifications. The Warfighting Analyst must:
• Possess the skills, experience, and acumen demonstrated by successful tours served on a military high-level Service, combatant commander, or coalition headquarters staff.
• Be capable of working independently, demonstrate working knowledge, and possess relevant and recent (within five years) experience that demonstrates the ability to provide quality service and support for tasks described.
• Be familiar with Marine Corps policies and demonstrate a working knowledge relating to the task areas.
• Have recent (within three years) experience with the United States military Services, preferably with the Marine Corps.
• Have Joint or Service concept development experience and over fifteen years of active duty experience.
• Possess a secret security clearance at a minimum.
