SAMS/TMIP Medical Systems Functional Analyst

Duties:
The SAMS/TMIP Medical Systems Functional Analyst will assist SPAWAR Systems Center Atlantic in the development of the Medical Maritime Modules (previously known as SAMS). The selected candidate will be a subject matter expert within the DoD medical field and especially in the SAMS portion of the TMIP application. The selected candidate will:
• Perform advanced systematic reviews of selected functions to determine the application and design of the Medical Maritime Modules to include modules which currently comprise SAMS, with specific knowledge in Radiation Health.
• Develop functional or operating manuals outlining established methods of performing work in accordance with DoD or DoN policy.
• Participate in various testing functions (i.e. string and acceptance tests) to verify that results are correct.
• Train developer or user personnel in the system operation.
Required Qualifications:
Must be eligible to obtain a DoD SECRET Security Clearance.
Typically requires a Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience (6 years of experience in lieu of a degree) and 5 to 7 years of related DoD or DoN medical information management systems experience. This experience must include:
• 3 years extensive hands-on experience in a functional and/or technical position supporting the SAMS or TMIP system.
• 3 years experience interpreting and defining requirements as identified in DoD or DoN medical directives and procedures and being able to communicate those requirements both verbally and in writing to computer software and documentation developers
• Technical training in a DoD or DoN medical data management system environment.
• Extensive experience in Radiation Health (RH).
Desired Qualifications:
• A US Navy NEC of 8402 or 8407 would be viewed as beneficial.
• A current Secret clearance would be viewed as beneficial.
