CAD/Manufacturing Technician – Johnstown, PA
Prepare and maintain working plans, create detailed drawings and complete mechanical drawings and layouts of components and complete assembles in accordance with the most up to date GD&T standard (ASME Y14.5-2009)
Make routine tolerance and component assembly computations, prepare specifications, assembly procedures and make engineering changes to parts models and drawings.
Review product designs, assemblies and plans to ensure accuracy of plans and compliance to design specifications.
Performs CAD level technical calculations select and specify tolerances, materials, components, usage, client needs, engineering requests and vendor modifications.
Use CAD equipment and software to develop designs or revise existing designs.
Utilize part numbering and drawing numbering systems to prepare complete material list.
Other duties as required.
Educational requirements:
Associate degree in CAD, mechanical or electrical engineering
