The Systems Engineering Group of QinetiQ North America delivers systems engineering and integration, software development, logistics information management, training systems management, information technology services, and test and evaluation support for the development, modification, fielding and sustainment of military equipment and systems. Candidates for this position will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship required.

Under general supervision, develops, writes and edits material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs and related technical and administrative publications. Analyzes requirements of project to determine types of publications needed. Researches and compiles technical data for use in documents or sections of documents such as manuals, procedures, and specifications. Organizes material and completes writing assignments according to set standards. May assist in laying out material for publication. Reviews written material and recommends revisions or changes in scope, format, and content. May study blueprints, flow charts, sketches, drawings, parts lists, specifications, mock-ups, and product samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, and production sequence and detail. Obtains data from independent observation consultation with technical staff members or study of published materials and drawings. Ensures accuracy and completeness of technical documentation. Participates in general layout and manual organization.

Generally requires a Bachelors degree in English, Journalism, or Technical Writing and 5 or more years of related experience writing technical documentation, procedures and guidelines for C4ISR systems or equipment.
